Lev brings over four years of experience across investment banking, mid-market M&A advisory, private equity, corporate development, and deal origination.

Previously, he served as an Investment Banking Summer Associate at CIBC Capital Markets, where he honed his skills in financial modeling and transaction structuring. His work spans diverse sectors and regions, including North America and Southeast Asia, with transactions valued between C$10 million and C$500 million. He holds an MSc in International Business from the Ivey School of Business and a BA in Economics from Western University.

Gary Shields is the Chairman and Managing Partner of Nassau Street Partners, where he spearheads the firm's strategic direction and directly leads all major initiatives. At the helm of the organization, Gary brings a wealth of experience with a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades in investment banking and venture capital.

Gary began his career in 1986 at LF Rothschild as a research analyst specializing in TMT stocks. In 1991, he joined the renowned investment bank Robertson Stephens as the Head of Environmental Services Investment Banking. Initially recruited as a Senior Research Analyst, Gary transitioned into the investment banking group, contributing to the firm's legacy as one of the "Four Horsemen" of investment banking.

Later in 1991, Gary became Head of Healthcare Investment Banking at The Chicago Corporation, where he drove innovative strategies in one of the most dynamic sectors of the market. In 1995, he co-founded Flemming, Lessard & Shields, a San Diego and San Francisco-based investment bank. As Managing Director, Gary advised hundreds of companies on M&A, divestitures, IPO planning, and capital formation.

Gary's expertise extends beyond investment banking into venture capital and corporate governance. He joined the board of Favrille in 2003, a biopharma company focused on immune system technologies, and played a pivotal role in its IPO and subsequent merger. Today, under Gary's direct leadership, he also serves as a Managing Partner at AvTech Ventures, a San Diego-based investment bank and venture capital firm. Bill currently serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Nassau Street Partners. He is also the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer for Pantages Capital Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: PGAC) which is a special purpose acquisition corporation targeting a globally sourced business combination, where he has led the firm from inception through the recent IPO close for a total offering of $86.25 million. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for ChampionsGate Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: CHPGU), and a member of the Advisory Board for RestoreVault which is a Virtual Data Storage AI enabled SAAS firm.  Bill has also been serving as the Managing Partner of Daedalus Analytics International, a boutique data-driven firm specializing in providing highly unique global strategic business intelligence for targeted innovation ecosystems.

He has deep experience in corporate finance, including cross-border M&A, international joint ventures, and technology licensing, particularly between the US, Europe, and China. He has been cited in various articles and conducted more than two dozen television, radio, and print interviews by the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, iFeng TV, China Business News TV, and other business outlets on various financial valuation and China business-related topics.

In prior capacities, Bill served as a senior leader in Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services – Corporate Finance practice, where his engagements spanned TMT, aerospace & defense, industrial products, among others. He was also a member of EY’s National Fairness Opinion Technical Review Committee. Previously, he spent 8 years based in China while serving as both City Leader and Country Head for a global financial advisory firm, leading offices in Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong.

During his tenure in China, his client engagements for major multinational corporations spanned 20 of the 23 Chinese provinces, including more than 200 cities across China. His other Southeast Asian engagements include major transactions in Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Bill is a former member of the White House staff with the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), serving the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) and in the Directorate for Technology and National Security Affairs during stints under two separate Presidential Administrations of both political parties. He has also been an Economic Fellow under Commissioner Carol Crawford at the United States International Trade Commission (USITC), and on the consulting staff of the National Research Council at the National Academy of Sciences.

Bill is also a two-time finisher of the Ironman Triathlon endurance race and has trekked extensively throughout Asia, Africa, South America, New Zealand, and the US.

Shawn Townsend serves as a Senior Advisor to Nassau Street Partners, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience across commercial real estate, private equity, specialty finance, insurance asset management, and institutional investment platforms. Throughout his career, Shawn has built, scaled, and managed sophisticated investment businesses responsible for billions of dollars of real estate debt and equity investments, while developing innovative capital solutions for institutional investors, insurance companies, and alternative asset managers.

Most recently, Shawn served as President and Chief Investment Officer of Ease Capital, where he was responsible for overseeing investment strategy, portfolio construction, capital deployment, and organizational growth. Prior to Ease Capital, he served as Managing Principal and Head of Real Estate Credit Strategies at Blue Vista Capital Management, where he founded and led the firm's national real estate credit platform. Concurrently, he served as Chief Investment Officer and Executive Board Member of Stellar National Life, directing investment strategy and asset management initiatives for the insurance enterprise.

Earlier in his career, Shawn played a key role in the growth and expansion of Gramercy Capital Corporation, helping transform the organization from a newly public mortgage REIT into a multi-billion-dollar institutional real estate finance platform. Throughout his career, he has repeatedly established de novo lending, investment management, and structured finance platforms, creating scalable businesses that have generated substantial investment opportunities across multiple market cycles.

Shawn possesses deep expertise in commercial real estate lending, structured finance, capital markets, securitization, private credit, insurance company asset management, portfolio construction, mergers and acquisitions, and institutional capital formation. He has structured, originated, financed, and managed a broad spectrum of investments ranging from construction lending and bridge financing to opportunistic credit strategies, private equity investments, and complex structured products. His experience spans the full investment lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, asset management, financing, risk management, and capital raising.

Among his notable accomplishments, Shawn structured and managed construction loan portfolios exceeding $500 million in aggregate commitments and led the creation, issuance, and management of one of the industry's earliest commercial real estate collateralized debt obligation (CRE CDO) securitization vehicles designed to provide matched funding for a national bridge lending platform. Following the Global Financial Crisis, he played a leading role in structuring, pricing, and bidding on the inaugural Public-Private Investment Program (PPIP) loan pool transaction, helping establish market frameworks for distressed asset acquisitions during one of the most challenging periods in modern financial history.

In addition, Shawn launched and managed one of the early private equity-backed commercial real estate debt fund platforms focused on directly originated whole loans, providing institutional investors with access to attractive risk-adjusted credit opportunities. He also serves as Chairman of the London Venture Capital Network and Managing Partner of the International Family Office Alliance for Health, positions that have placed him at the center of hundreds of early-stage opportunities in molecules, medtech, and digital health.

Earlier in his career, Laurent held senior roles in consulting and industry. He advised multinational healthcare and life sciences clients at PwC and later served as Head of Life Sciences at BearingPoint. He then became Managing Director at Syneos Health, where he oversaw medical affairs and market access on a global scale. These experiences ultimately inspired his transition into finance to better support innovation in healthcare.
